In the walled havelis of old Jaipur, embroiderers once stitched gardens onto cloth to bring the courtyard indoors through winter. The Anaar Bloom carries that same impulse — a riot of stylized pomegranate flowers and fern-like vines worked across a rich orchid-pink velvet, as if a Rajasthani trellis had been coaxed onto a jacket.
Hand-chain-stitched in the Suzani tradition, the embroidery unfolds symmetrically across the back and sleeves: rust-orange tulip blooms with mustard-brown centers, sprigs of olive-green foliage, dusty sage tendrils, and bursts of coral and slate-blue petals. Deep indigo leaf motifs anchor the composition at the shoulders, while a wave-and-lattice border in navy and rust traces the collar and hem — a nod to the geometric borders found in traditional Central Asian suzani textiles.
Cut in a relaxed, oversized silhouette, the jacket is built to be lived in — layered over knits in winter, thrown over a plain kurta come evening. The washed velvet ground has a soft, worn-in hand-feel from the start, deepening in character with every wear. No two pieces embroider identically; each is its own small variation on the same garden.
