Hand-embroidered on rani pink velvet, dense olive-gold chain stitch traces branching stems that erupt into full pomegranate blossoms at the chest and hem — each one filled solid with the satin-stitch technique suzani artisans call 'bosma.' Fine vining borders of clustered florets run down the front plackets and collar, framing the garden in miniature. The reverse of the placket flashes a crisp red, white and black stripe lining — a tailored surprise beneath the handwork.
