The Bagh Jacket — Ivory Wildflower

The Bagh Jacket in Ivory Wildflower is what a meadow looks like if the meadow were embroidered by hand onto cotton. The natural ivory handwoven base — warm, textured, slightly slubbed — is covered in a loose, free composition of daisy flowers at every scale and in every colour the embroiderer chose that day.

Outline daisies in navy blue and deep burgundy sit alongside filled solid blooms in dark olive and charcoal-brown. Between them, long-stemmed botanical forms reach upward in dark brown outline stitch. Threading through everything — literally — are looping orange-gold scroll vines that meander in loose spirals across both front panels and the sleeves, giving the jacket a warm, golden energy beneath the cooler flower palette.

The composition is deliberately uneven and free — flowers at different heights, stems at different angles, the orange scrollwork following its own logic. This is what hand embroidery looks like when it is not trying to be perfect. Which is when it is most beautiful.

Two large patch pockets sit at hip height, themselves embroidered with scattered stem and flower details. The white binding at the collar is clean and considered. No fringe on this one — the Ivory Wildflower lets its embroidery do all the talking.
