In the walled bagh-gardens of old Rajasthan, where marigold and jasmine climb over sandstone, women once gathered to stitch the shapes of the flowers around them onto cloth — not from pattern books, but from memory. This jacket carries that same instinct: a garden reimagined in thread, unconfined by symmetry, blooming freely across ivory cotton.
Hand-embroidered in bold Suzani-style chain and satin stitch, the jacket unfolds in cranberry-red starbursts, moss-green foliage, and powder-blue fern fronds that climb the sleeves and collar like vines finding sunlight. Mustard-gold outline work traces winding stems and paisley leaves across the back and front panels, while soft pink scrollwork borders the hem and patch pockets — a quieter echo of the riotous blooms above. No two motifs repeat exactly; each flower was placed by hand, by eye, in the old way.
Cut in a relaxed, boxy silhouette with a notched collar and dual patch pockets, this jacket layers easily over kurtas or knitwear alike. The raw-slub cotton base has just enough weight to hold its shape, while the open front makes it as easy to throw on as it is to treasure.
