In the walled gardens of old Rajasthan, embroiderers once stitched the creatures they loved most onto cloth meant to outlast a lifetime — birds mid-flight, hearts in bloom, a crescent moon watching over it all. The Chidiya Bagh carries that same devotion, each motif worked by hand onto a ground of warm mustard velvet, soft with age and intention.
An ivory hummingbird takes flight across the back panel, its wings rendered in fine chain-stitch threadwork, wholly suspended between a cluster of pink and magenta florals with yellow centers and a trailing vine of rose-pink leaves. Below, a rust-orange crescent moon rises beside scattered coral hearts and crossed stitches in dusty pink and burnt orange, while the collar is edged in a row of cream chevron embroidery — a quiet nod to the borders found on antique suzanis.
