There is a particular green found only in early spring wheat fields near Jaipur — sharp, alive, almost electric. This jacket is built from that green: a hand-loomed cotton base the color of new leaves, chosen to carry the boldness of Suzani embroidery without losing its own voice.
Across the back, a central cypress-like fern rises in deep bottle green, flanked by two large boteh (paisley) motifs outlined in maroon and filled with hot pink thread, each cradling a small embroidered flower within. Below, a radiant pink-and-maroon sunflower medallion anchors the composition, while trailing vines of serrated green leaves and tiny burgundy blossoms wander toward the hem. A wave-stitch border in black and green frames the collar and hem, echoing the geometric borders traditional to Central Asian Suzani textiles long adapted by Rajasthani hands.
Hand-embroidered entirely with wool and cotton threads on a nubby, textured cotton weave, this jacket carries the slight irregularities that mark true handwork — no two identical.
