This jacket carries that same watchfulness, four wide eyes rendered in aari and mukaish work, staring out from a field of radiating black rays.
Cut from a deep cognac-brown velvet, the jacket is scored edge to edge with hand-couched black cord, radiating outward like sunbeams or the plumage of a peacock caught mid-display. At the chest, hem, and sleeve, oversized eye medallions bloom — ringed in sky-turquoise and hemmed with a fine red border, their pupils a swirl of ivory chain stitch around a black centre, each punctuated by a single red bindu. The effect is part talisman, part ceremonial armor.
Underneath, a warm brown-and-cream striped cotton lining lends quiet contrast to the density of the embroidery outside.
