Worked entirely by needle on soft orchid-pink Cotton, the motifs unfold in a vocabulary centuries old: the boteh (paisley) in deep aubergine and burnt orange, outlined in mustard thread and filled with sprigs of forest green; sunburst florets in rust orange with wine-dark centers, encircled by looping vine borders in bottle green and plum. Each panel is framed by a striped pink-and-white selvedge, a quiet nod to the loom before the needle ever touched it.
