The back panel is a masterwork of bilateral symmetry: oversized California poppy heads rendered in warm terracotta and dusty rose chain stitch rise from twin stems of pale celadon, flanked by black velvet fern fronds that fan outward like pressed botanical specimens. Smaller four-petalled flowers in saffron gold and blush punctuate the composition, while a running border of geometric wave stitch in gold and pale aqua frames the hem and collar — a detail borrowed directly from Uzbek suzani border vocabulary. Every motif is hand-worked in dense chain stitch, giving the flowers a sculptural, almost three-dimensional relief against the deep indigo-teal base.
