The Samarkand Bloom kimono is Zoshak's homage to that shared inheritance — a Suzani-inspired tapestry of bloom and vine, worked entirely by hand onto charcoal cotton, the kind of garment that turns a doorway into an entrance.
Sprays of crimson carnations burst open with powder-blue centers, their petals rendered in dense, satin-stitch wool. Between them, mustard-yellow pomegranate halves nestle inside plum-purple husks — an old Central Asian symbol of fertility and abundance. Emerald vines coil and unfurl across the sleeves in looping tendrils, echoing the free-hand chain stitch found in antique Suzani hangings, while cornflower-blue tulips punctuate the borders like a second, quieter chorus.
