In the old Suzani tradition, a bride's dowry cloth was never finished in a single season — it grew, stitch by stitch, as a record of hope and abundance. This jacket carries that same spirit, its sage-green ground worked over slowly with the pomegranate motifs that Central Asian embroiderers have stitched for generations as symbols of fertility and good fortune.
A bold black-thread medallion, formed from crooked vine-and-thorn stitches, anchors the back and front panels, enclosing a cluster of coral-red pomegranates split open in white, alongside a many-petalled orange and ivory chrysanthemum at its heart. Smaller pomegranates and daisies wander freely across the sleeves and hem, framed by a hand-chained orange border that traces the collar, cuffs, and front edges like a painted seam.
Woven on a nubby, textured cotton base that lends the jacket a lived-in, handloom character, this piece is cut in a relaxed, boxy silhouette with a soft point collar and open front — easy to layer, easy to love. No two panels of embroidery are ever quite identical, a quiet reminder that every jacket passed through a single artisan's hands.
