In the walled gardens of old Bukhara, suzani cloths were stitched by hand to mark abundance — pomegranates for fertility, carnations for devotion, paisleys for the eternal cypress. The Zard Bostan carries that same spirit of bostan, or orchard, rendered on a field of butter-yellow velvet that catches light like late afternoon sun.
Deep crimson carnations bloom in bold medallions, their petals cradling soft orchid-pink centers, while sage-blue paisleys curl beside olive vinework in the quiet rhythm of an old textile grammar. Blush pomegranate buds dot the spaces between, and a thin cobalt line traces the border — a nod to the indigo stitch-work found in antique Rajasthani and Central Asian suzanis alike. Every motif is laid by hand in dense chain-stitch, giving the surface a sculpted, almost tactile relief.
Cut in a relaxed, open silhouette with a mandarin collar and a yellow-striped cotton lining, this jacket drapes easily over simple separates, turning a quiet linen set or denim into something storied. No two embroidered panels are identical — each is the work of a single artisan's hand, making this piece as singular as the garden it was named for.
